For more than 50 years, Charlie Wray has shared his passion for fishing with anglers across Canada. As the longtime host of Fishful Thinking, he has spent over 30 years helping viewers learn new techniques, explore Canadian waters, and make the most of every fishing trip. The show’s practical, entertaining approach speaks to both people picking up a rod for the first time and experienced anglers looking to improve their skills.

Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Charlie developed his love of fishing on Lake Erie and Lake Ontario and during summer trips to northern Ontario with his father. He went on to earn recognition in national fishing competitions and design fishing lures, including the well-known Charlie’s Angel. In 2018, he was inducted into the Niagara Falls Wall of Fame for his achievements as an angler and his contributions to the sport.
